In this region under three panchayats — Vanjinagaram, Buthamangalam and Kodukkampatti — lie few hundred acres of land that in government records have been classified as “tharisu’’ (barren land). For a long time, the people here who are primarily agriculturists have been using the “barren land” that is filled with numerous trees as a grazing ground for their cattle. This landscape has numerous shards of potsherds and evidence of burnt bricks. Early tools made of quartz have been discovered and if more research is done, environmentalists feel, some tools can even be traced to prehistoric time, thus revealing the presence of an ancient habitation.


the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (Sipcot) approved the long-delayed Melur industrial park project, with tenders worth 16 crore floated for infrastructure development. Spread over 278 acres in Vanjinagaram, the project will be developed in phases, with the first phase covering 100 acres.

 தமிழகத்தில் முதலாவது சிப்காட் தொழில் புத்தாக்க மையம் கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டம் ஓசூரிலும், இரண்டாவது மையம் காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டம் ஸ்ரீபெரும்புதூரிலும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதனைத்தொடர்ந்து 3-வது தொழில் புத்தாக்க மையம் மதுரையில் அமையவுள்ளது..

 சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கு பாதிப்பு இல்லை என்பதை உறுதி செய்யும் வகையில் 'சுற்றுச்சூழல் அனுமதி கோரி 8 B படிவத்தில் விண்ணப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், ஒரே நிறுவனமே 200 ஏக்கர் நிலத்தை ஒப்பந்த அடிப்படையில் பெறுவதாக இருந்தாலும் வாய்ப்பளிக்கப்படும். அல்லது 4 ஏக்கர் அல்லது 5 ஏக்கர் அளவில் நிலம் பிளாட் ஆகவும் பிரித்து வழங்கப்படும். அடிப்படை கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகள் மேலும் தொழில் துவங்குவதற்கான அடிப்படை வசதிகள் இருந்தால் தான் முதலீட்டாளர்கள் தொழில் துவங்க முன்வருவார்கள் என்பதால், முதல் கட்டமாக 100 ஏக்கரில் அடிப்படை வசதிகள் செய்ய திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதற்காக ரூ.13 கோடிக்கு அடிப்படை கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை செய்யும் நிறுவனங்களுக்கான 'டெண்டர்' விடப்பட்டுள்ளது.. சாலை வசதி, மழைநீர் வடிகால் வசதி, தெருவிளக்கு, சிப்காட் அலுவலகம் அமைத்த பிறகே, தொழில் நிறுவனங்களுக்கான பிளாட்கள் ஏலம் விடுவதற்கான டெண்டர் பணி ஆரம்பமாகும் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. You May Also Like "மலேசியாவிலிருந்து திரும்பி வந்ததும்.. முதல் வாக்குறுதி? பழைய ஓய்வூதிய திட்டம்? விஜய் பிரம்மாஸ்திரம் " இதன் மூலம் மதுரை மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுப்புறப் பகுதிகளில் வேலைவாய்ப்பு அதிகரிக்கும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. அதாவது இந்த தொழில் பூங்காவில் சுமார் 4000 பேருக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்டது. பெருகும் வேலைவாய்ப்புகள் ஆனால்,வரும் 2026 ஜனவரியில் முதலீட்டாளர்களுக்கான பிளாட்கள் தயாராகி விடும் என்பதால் தொழில் துவங்கும் நிறுவனங்கள் மூலம் குறைந்தது 10 ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு வேலை வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கும் என நம்பப்படுகிறது. அந்தவகையில், மதுரை, விருதுநகர், தூத்துக்குடி, தேனி, சிவகங்கை, ராமநாதபுரம் மற்றும் கன்னியாகுமரி உள்ளிட்ட தென் மாவட்டங்களைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞர்கள் அதிகளவில் வேலைவாய்ப்பு பெறுவார்கள் என அரசு சார்பில் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.. அதைவிட முக்கியமாக வரப்போகும் தொழிற்பூங்கா மூலம் மதுரை மாவட்டத்தின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியும் உயர போகிறது. இதனால், தொழில் வளர்ச்சியிலும் மதுரை முன்னணி மாவட்டமாக உயரும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
